Wabi Sabi Psy

"You do not need to be fixed — you need to be understood."

The name Wabi Sabi Psy is inspired by the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, which values simplicity, authenticity, and the natural flow of life. In therapy, this translates into creating a space where your experiences can be explored with curiosity, respect, and compassion.

This approach emphasises depth over quick solutions and authenticity over perfection — allowing change to unfold in a way that feels real, grounded, and lasting.

I am a psychologist originally from Romania, currently based in the Netherlands, with personal and professional experience of living in India and France. This journey has given me a deep understanding of what it means to live between cultures, languages, and identities — and the complexity, richness, and sometimes uncertainty that comes with it.

My interest in inner life began at a young age, when I discovered the work of Carl Jung and became fascinated by the depth of the human psyche. This early curiosity later guided me toward studying psychology and psychotherapy.

Living in different countries has brought both challenges and meaningful growth — experiences of adaptation, belonging, and transformation that continue to inform how I work today. My approach is grounded in openness, respect, and sensitivity to each person’s unique path.

Inspired by the philosophy of wabi-sabi, I value the imperfect, evolving, and deeply human aspects of our lives. I see therapy as a space where difficulties are not only addressed at the surface, but explored and understood at a deeper level, so they can gradually ease and transform, allowing for lasting and meaningful change.

I have experience working with international clients of different ages and backgrounds, and I offer sessions in English, French, and Romanian.

I'd feel honoured to meet you and to accompany you in exploring your story.

Sessions in-person (The Hague) or Online. Languages: English, French, Romanian.

I welcome adults (18+) from all backgrounds. You do not need a referral to start therapy.
Therapy is a collaborative process tailored to your needs. You are free to decide what you would like to bring into the sessions. My role is to offer a safe and supportive environment where we work together to understand your challenges and develop strategies for growth and change.
The first session is an intake session, where we explore your current situation, your goals and expectations. Together, we will discuss how we can work most effectively and agree on a suitable approach.
A standard session lasts 50 minutes. Longer sessions (e.g. double sessions) can be arranged if needed. Sessions can take place from twice a week to once a month, with weekly meetings usually recommended at the beginning. The overall length of therapy varies depending on your goals, ranging from a few months to longer-term work. We will decide together what best suits your needs.
Sessions can be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge up to 48 hours in advance. Late cancellations or missed sessions are charged in full.
This is a private practice, and I do not have contracts with Dutch health insurance providers. Some international insurance companies may offer reimbursement — please check directly with your provider.
Yes, confidentiality is a core part of therapy. I adhere to the ethical guidelines of the Dutch Institute for Psychologists (NIP). Before starting therapy, you will receive a written consent and services agreement outlining confidentiality and the terms of therapy.
A limited number of sliding scale spots are available for clients with financial constraints. Each request is considered individually — please contact me to inquire about availability.
